Vehicle Hire

Prior to the day of hire we will require the following: Original full drivers license (If card type, counter part also required) Proof of address, i.e. utility bill or council tax bill. Valid passport will only be accepted as ID if provided with a photo card drivers license. £100.00 holding deposit for insurance excess & vehicle damage.

Acceptable Hirers;

1. Any person over the minimum age stipulated and less than 70 years of age who has held a full British license for more than 2 years.

2. Is free of physical defect or infirmity.

3. Not been convicted of ANY of the following motoring offences AC/BA/CD/DD/DR/UT/XX within the last 5 years. Or convicted of more than ONE of the following motoring offences in categories CU/IN/LC/MS/MW/PC/PL/SP/TS in the last 3 years

4. Not involved in more than one accident in the past 3 years.

5. Not engaged in any of the following:
a) Professional entertainment or sport
b) Undergraduates or students under 25 years of age
c) Foreign service personnel
d) Courier use or fast food deliveries
e) A contract of hire exceeding 30 days (unless approved by Tradex)

Drivers not qualified may at times be included subject to additional terms; this must be approved PRIOR to hire. Telephone approval is available 5 days per week.

Important Safety and packing guidance Notes:

During loading & unloading the customer/s must ensure that the following safety measures are adhered to:

Children are not permitted to mount the vehicle at any time. The rear tailgate is for use with heavy goods only and to be operated only by adults (customers will be guided on how to operate the tailgate upon vehicle delivery).

No hazardous materials or dangerous items are to be loaded onto the vehicles.

Customers are responsible for the manner in which items/goods are packed, loaded and unloaded. We would advise customers not to pack heavy items such as cookers/sofas on top of packed boxes.

We would recommend that where possible all items/goods are packed in boxes and fragile items/goods be wrapped with bubble wrap to avoid the possibility of damage.

Paul Browns Vehicle Hire retain the right to refuse the use of vehicles.

CANCELLATION OF A BOOKING

In the event of a cancellation the following conditions and charges are to be considered:
